Skyroot Aerospace is India’s first private aerospace manufacturer and commercial launch service provider, based in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Founded in 2018 by former ISRO scientists Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka, the company focuses on providing on-demand, low-cost access to space for small satellites. With a team of over 1,000 experts, Skyroot has established itself as a leader in the space industry and became India’s first space tech unicorn after raising $60 million ahead of its maiden orbital launch. The company's flagship product is the Vikram series of launch vehicles, which includes the Vikram-S, a suborbital rocket, and the Vikram-1, a three-stage solid-propellant launch vehicle designed to carry payloads up to 350 kg to Low Earth Orbit. Skyroot employs advanced technologies to streamline rocket manufacturing, achieving a rapid assembly time of just 72 hours. The company offers flexible launch services for small satellites, catering to a diverse clientele that includes global satellite operators, businesses, research institutions, and government agencies.
