Question Threads

Ask the people who have done it, in writing

For a week at a time, a mentor, lawyer, fundraiser or expert takes founders' questions. Founders vote for what gets answered first. The answers stay public, so every founder after you can read them.

We have $40k MRR growing 12% a month. Is that enough for a seed round in Europe, or should we wait a quarter?

  2. ▲24

An angel wants a board seat for $150k. Is that normal at pre-seed, and what do we offer instead?

  3. ▲18

Our SAFE has a $10M cap and the lead now wants $8M. Can we hold the cap for the early angels?

The anatomy of a question that gets answered

We are a two-founder B2B software company with $40k MRR, growing 12% a month. Two seed funds have asked for our deck; neither has offered terms. Should we raise now, or wait a quarter to cross $60k?

Questions about threads

Who can ask?

Any founder with a free account, while a thread is open. Questions are public, under your name as it appears on your account.

Who answers?

The thread's host only: an approved mentor, lawyer, fundraiser or expert listed on Millionrounds. They answer in writing, on the thread's page.

Which questions get answered first?

The ones founders vote for. Every founder can vote once per question, and the host sees them in that order.

Is a written answer legal or financial advice?

No. It is one experienced person's view on a question asked in public, without the full facts of your company. Treat it as a starting point, not a decision.

Can I host a thread?

If you are an approved mentor, advisor, expert, lawyer or fundraiser on Millionrounds, yes: open one from your threads page for three days, a week or two weeks. If you are not listed yet, apply first.
