rPlanet Earth was a vertically integrated manufacturer based in Vernon, California, specializing in food-grade packaging made from post-consumer recycled PET (rPET).
Founded in 2015 by Bob Daviduk and Joe Ross, the company aimed to minimize the carbon footprint of packaging production and promote a vision of zero plastic waste. It operated a unique recycling-to-packaging facility that handled the entire process from raw waste to finished goods. The company produced a variety of products, including bottle preforms, extruded roll stock, thermoformed packaging, and EnviroPET sheets made from 100% post-consumer plastic. rPlanet Earth catered to food, beverage, and consumer products companies, providing high-quality packaging solutions that met regulatory requirements for plastic recycling. The facility had a production capacity of approximately 160 million pounds of finished packaging per year. In May 2026, rPlanet Earth closed its operations, and its assets were acquired by Niagara Bottling, which plans to reopen the facility for its own vertical integration efforts.
