Nova Carbon is a French startup founded in 2023 and located in Marignac, near Bordeaux.

The company specializes in sustainable composite materials by recycling carbon fiber waste into high-performance semi-finished products. Its mission is to democratize carbon fiber use and significantly reduce unrecycled carbon fiber waste in France and Europe over the next decade. The company utilizes a patented technology called Long Fiber Realignment, developed at the University of Bordeaux, to transform production offcuts and end-of-life products into viable alternatives for the composites industry. Nova Carbon produces recycled carbon fiber composites through closed-loop recycling processes, ensuring the integrity of the fibers. The company aims to process 20,000 tonnes of carbon fiber waste annually in Europe and 40,000 tonnes globally, with its products branded as Nova Carbon® materials. Nova Carbon has secured €1.4 million in seed funding to support its growth and has established partnerships with companies like Epsilon Composite to enhance its recycling capabilities.
