Founded in 2012 by John Battelle, it offers a unique event experience that blends open studio tours, business conferences, and music festivals. NewCo's mission is to connect audiences with stories about business, politics, and culture, focusing on the importance of purpose-driven business. The company organizes city-specific festivals where participants can explore various organizations in their natural environments, witnessing firsthand how they contribute to positive change. NewCo has expanded its festival model to over 30 cities across North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia, and Asia, with plans to host events in 16 or more cities annually. Additionally, NewCo Shift, launched in 2016, serves as a media platform that covers innovative companies through various channels, including articles, newsletters, and video content, featuring contributions from experienced journalists and editors.
