About Network Norway

Network Norway was a Norwegian mobile network operator founded in 2006 by former employees of Telenor and NetCom.

The company launched commercial GSM-900 services in 2007, quickly establishing a network that initially covered major urban areas like Oslo, Stavanger, and Trondheim. It formed partnerships with mobile virtual network operators such as One Call and Lebara Group, and later merged into Mobile Norway with Tele2, becoming Norway's seventh licensed mobile network operator. The company operated a GSM-900 mobile network and pursued UMTS (3G) services after securing a license in 2008. It also signed a contract with Ericsson for 2G and 3G infrastructure. Notably, Network Norway was the sole Norwegian operator to sell the Nexus One smartphone in March 2010. While the company is listed as a telephony and wireless provider, it appears to no longer be active.
