Dualyx is a biotechnology company based in Zwijnaarde, Ghent, Belgium, focused on developing novel therapies for autoimmune diseases.
Founded in 2019 as a spin-off from KU Leuven, Dualyx aims to create next-generation immune modulators that selectively expand regulatory T cells (Tregs) to suppress unwanted autoimmune reactions. The company is led by CEO Wouter Verhoeven and CSO Luc van Rompaey and operates under a collaborative model with partners such as Wurzburg University, Argenx, VIB, Ghent University, and KU Leuven. Dualyx's core technology involves llama-derived antibodies, or nanobodies, to create multi-specific antibodies that target and activate Tregs. This selective action is designed to provide effective immune suppression with minimal side effects. The company is advancing its lead program, DT-001, which targets TNF receptor 2 (TNFR2) and is currently in IND-enabling studies, with plans to enter clinical trials in 2024. Dualyx has raised approximately $52.89M to support its research and development efforts.
