The 75th Ranger Regiment is the U.S.

Army's elite special operations light infantry unit, operating under the U.S. Army Special Operations Command. Headquartered at Fort Moore, Georgia, the regiment includes a regimental headquarters company, a military intelligence battalion, a special troops battalion, and three infantry battalions, each consisting of approximately 600 soldiers. These units are equipped with advanced weaponry and are trained for a variety of missions. The regiment specializes in direct-action raids, airfield seizures, and high-value target operations in challenging environments. It maintains a high level of readiness, with the capability to deploy one battalion worldwide within 18 hours. The Ranger Assessment and Selection Program ensures that only the most qualified individuals join, earning them the distinctive tan beret. The regiment has a rich history, tracing its roots back to World War II and has been involved in numerous operations, including significant missions in Afghanistan and Iraq.
