Nishika Corporation was a U.S.-based company active in the late 1980s and early 1990s, known for its Nishika N8000, a quadrascopic 35mm camera designed for lenticular 3D photography.
The company, headquartered in Henderson, Nevada, acquired technology and patents from the Nimslo Corporation and aimed to produce cameras that evoked a sense of Japanese quality. The Nishika N8000 featured a plastic body, four lenses, and offered manual aperture settings. It was sold in mail-order kits that included a VHS tutorial hosted by Vincent Price. In addition to the camera, Nishika provided film development and lenticular 3D printing services, allowing customers to send in exposed film for processing onto specialized 3D paper. Despite its innovative approach, the company faced challenges, including issues with print quality and fading images, which affected its reputation. Nishika's products and services have since become popular among collectors, particularly for creating "wigglegram" GIFs.
