Kesios Therapeutics Limited was a private biotechnology company established in 2012 as a spin-out from Imperial College London.
The company focused on the research and development of small molecule drugs aimed at treating haematological malignancies, particularly multiple myeloma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Its lead candidate, KES-0001, was a GADD45B inhibitor targeting the NF-κB pathway, which is crucial for cancer cell survival. Kesios raised £19 million in a Series A financing round to support its research efforts. Despite advancing its lead candidate toward clinical development, the company faced challenges in replicating pre-clinical assays, which led to the suspension of further development work. Kesios Therapeutics was officially dissolved on February 28, 2024, ceasing all operations.
