Edinburgh Alternative Finance launched in 2014 with a focus on developing innovative proprietary technology to power the next wave of innovation in financial technology (fintech) and business lending.
We are the parent company – and tech engine – behind LendingCrowd, the leading fintech SME lending platform headquartered in Scotland. Our aim is to harness the power of technology to improve access to funding for SMEs across Britain. Through LendingCrowd, we fund the ambitions of small business owners, helping them unlock their growth potential. We combine technology with robust credit processes, transparency and customer service to transform the business lending landscape. Edinburgh Alternative Finance was founded by CEO Stuart Lunn, who previously worked in investment banking as an equity analyst, covering the technology sector. This included analysing and advising a wide variety of technology-related companies and leading both primary and secondary fundraisings for small and mid-cap clients. He is also experienced in advising private companies as a founder shareholder and angel investor. Stuart leads a growing team with the best cross-industry talent available, spanning origination, credit underwriting, loan servicing, finance and technology.
