## About WOT Services Ltd.

WOT Services Ltd. is a Finnish technology company based in Helsinki, founded in 2006.

It is known for developing MyWOT, a crowdsourced website reputation and internet safety service launched in 2007. The company was established by Sami Tolvanen and Timo Ala-Kleemola during their postgraduate studies at Tampere University of Technology. WOT Services is a privately held company with a small team and generates less than $5 million in annual revenue. MyWOT helps users assess website trustworthiness through a patented rating system that combines community-generated reviews and third-party data. The service features a traffic-light rating system and evaluates websites based on trustworthiness, vendor reliability, privacy practices, and child safety. The WOT browser extension is compatible with popular browsers and integrates safety ratings into search results from major platforms. With over 140 million downloads, WOT protects users from various online threats and collaborates with major internet companies like Facebook and Mail.Ru Group to enhance user safety.
