Founded in 2021 by a team of four women from Tampere University, the company is dedicated to developing off-the-shelf therapies using induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells combined with functional biomaterials. Their mission is to accelerate tissue regeneration and enhance the safety and delivery of cell therapies for patients suffering from corneal blindness. Currently in the pre-clinical stage, StemSight is working towards initiating clinical trials in 2027.
