## About Gecko Traxx

Gecko Traxx is an Australian startup dedicated to enhancing mobility for manual wheelchair users.

The company focuses on creating assistive outdoor equipment, particularly for accessing beaches and soft terrains. Its main product is a portable, affordable retrofit wheel accessory that fits over standard wheelchair wheels, enabling users to navigate sand, soft grass, snow, and other off-road surfaces without leaving their chairs. The product features a clip-on or over-tyre system inspired by a gecko's foot, which expands upon contact with the ground to increase surface area and returns to a slimmer profile when not in use. Gecko Traxx emphasizes portability, low-cost design, compatibility with common wheelchair sizes, and easy storage. The company aims to provide independent access to outdoor environments for people with limited mobility and plans to expand its offerings in outdoor assistive technology.
